THE STORY: Best friends Lauren and Eliza are challenged by the onset of adulthood in this deeply felt and incisive meditation on young women coming of age. While it’s true these things often go unconfronted in life, it might have behooved Ziegler to consider the prospect with more dramaturgical directness. They begin an affair marred by one major sticking point; in an addled moment at their first encounter, Lauren told Seth her name is Eliza, and she never finds the right moment to retract the falsehood.

Bff: Best Friends Forever
Alexandra Shields rated it liked it Oct 21, Preview — Bff by Anna Ziegler. Her writing is masterful enough to make these sentences flow with the rest of the dialogue, even though they are obviously heightened in importance.
Although remaining unsure of whom she is and what she wants, Lauren experiences annna relatively normal adolescence, whereas Eliza — whose father dies when she’s still young — develops ana psychological problems, with anorexia a crucial symptom. Director Josh Hecht has seen to it that the three actors delivering the lines do so with just the right tone. Heisler has found a creditable way to portray Eliza’s souring manner and, annz, her deteriorating physical condition. Zeigler also gives Lauren a surprisingly honest cruelty. Ilise marked zieglee as to-read Mar 02, In BFF — the acronym stands for Best Friends Forever — the playwright suggests that a frequent ingredient in the complex relationship between girls is guilt.
Scenes of the two girls are intercut with Lauren as an adult, falling in love with a man Jeremy Webb but telling him her name is Eliza.
Also has some great monologues for females 16 years old – 28 year old. The terse exchanges are anna right for conversation where defensiveness prevails. No trivia or quizzes yet.
